Co-owner & Co-founder of PI Maintenance
I’m Jim Peacock, co-owner and co-founder of Peacock & Impey Maintenance, bringing extensive experience in high-end residential construction and a commitment to excellence in maintenance to Queenstown, the Southern Lakes district, and Central Otago.
My journey began on Waiheke Island, where I oversaw multi-million dollar residential builds, developing a meticulous approach to construction. Ten years ago, I moved to Queenstown to lead the construction division of a top New Zealand group home franchise, delivering over 100 homes annually in the lakes district. This role taught me the importance of quality, precision, and efficiency in building homes that last.
Alongside being a fully qualified builder and Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP), I hold qualifications in construction management and business management. Growing up with the philosophy “if you look after it, it will last a lot longer,” I’ve carried that ethos throughout my career, ensuring everything I build or maintain is done right. This dedication to quality inspired the founding of PI Maintenance with Tom in 2023, where we focus on proactive, detail-oriented asset care for our clients.
Co-owner & Co-founder of PI Maintenance
Hi, I’m Tom Impey, co-owner and co-founder of Peacock & Impey Maintenance, a Queenstown-based maintenance company servicing residential and commercial clients throughout the Southern Lakes district and Central Otago.
With over 27 years in construction, civil engineering, and aftercare maintenance, my background spans commercial developments, office fit-outs, and high-spec residential builds. After completing my building apprenticeship in Auckland, I took on a semi-pro rugby contract in the UK, where I also advanced my building skills. Later, in Sydney, I earned a Building and Construction Diploma and gained my Building License for New South Wales, working on exclusive projects in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
In London, I co-founded Urban Projects, a residential building company, and became a Construction Manager with Costain, where I managed large-scale developments and post-completion maintenance for 50+ commercial projects. Returning to Australia, I served as Project Director at Integrated Project Group, leading significant projects like Brokenwood Winery’s cellar door extension in the Hunter Valley.
Since settling in Queenstown in 2016, I’ve worked with Good Group Hospitality on flagship venues such as Dirty Laundry and White + Wongs. In 2023, Jim Peacock and I joined forces to establish PI Maintenance, driven by a shared commitment to quality, precision, and effective long-term maintenance solutions.
